Essential oils are powerfully healing distillations of botanicals. From a research and an experience perspective, I have a deep love and appreciation for essential oils and what they can accomplish for the skin. At the same time, I’ve seen how the tolerance of essential oils can vary widely on an individual level — from person to person and in different phases of life.
So, it was really important to me to be able to intentionally create formulas without essential oils. They can benefit everyone, but especially the most sensitive of skin types or those who are healing a compromised skin barrier. Nectar is another installment in our essential oil-free series that I’m so excited to offer to the community.

Key Ingredients
SEA BUCKTHORN EXTRACT
A phytochemical-packed extract from sea buckthorn infuses the skin barrier-supportive and antioxidant nutrition.
CAROTENOIDS
Pro-vitamin A carotenoids from rosehip and carrot root support skin’s environmental defenses and the natural generation of retinol.
COENZYME Q10
Coenzyme Q10 (also known as ubiquinone and CoQ10) replenishes skin antioxidant reservoir and optimizes cellular metabolism.
Dispense a liberal amount of the Nectar cleanser.
Start by applying the Nectar cleanser to dry skin, beginning in the T-zone. A small amount of dampness from oil cleansing prior to Nectar is okay.
Smooth outwards towards the perimeter of the face and neck until evenly distributed.
Gently massage Nectar into the skin using small circles, working your way from the center of the face outwards towards the perimeter. This will begin the process of dissolving pollutants and support lymphatic flow.
With wet fingertips, massage again in small circles to emulsify pollutants and infuse the skin with hydration.
Rinse away until water runs clear. Gently pat dry.

Can be used as a stand-alone cleanser or a second cleanse after our Radiance Cleansing Oil. Can also double as a hydrating mask. Store in a cool, dry place.

FAQs
Nectar is an oil-based cleanser that transforms to a milk when mixed with water, allowing it to be easily rinsed away.
However, when you first experience Nectar, you’ll quickly notice it’s not like most oil cleansers. Rather than a liquid, Nectar is a gel texture that glides across the skin.
This unique formulation makes it more hydrating and deeper cleansing than your average oil cleanser, while remaining ultra-gentle.
Most oil-to-milk cleansers are the first cleansing step in a double cleanse routine. While we recommend oil cleansing with our Radiance cleansing oil as a first cleanse and following with either Nectar (or Purity) as a second cleanse, Nectar can be used in many different ways.
As a deeply-cleansing, oil-based cleanser, Nectar can be used as a first cleanse, second cleanse, or a standalone cleanser.
If you are a makeup and/or SPF wearer, we highly recommend using Radiance as your first cleanse to remove makeup.
Our Nectar and Purity cleansers are very similar formulas. However, Nectar is formulated without essential oils whereas Purity has a small amount of essential oil. Nectar is a better option if you are sensitive to essential oils or if you simply prefer essential oil-free skincare.
As a more nourishing formula, you may also prefer Nectar if you have dry or irritated skin.
